Not as Planned
"Juan is going everywhere and it will be good for you to ground him."
"Ha ha, I'm joining him, I won't be grounding him at all."
That takes us here. 5:45 am Berlin heading to Dresden. We had great plans for the day, places to walk, see and play. But, long story short, the kinder cafe Imade asked Juan to search for was closed down and though it took three hours to find the closed down kinder cafe, and it rained, we still had a good time.
I'm pretty lucky to have married someone, who when we get lost, doesn't get frustrated and is willing to have fun with what we've got.
Then again, he kinda owes me for moving to College Station, TX. ;) just kidding. On to Dresden!
Although we didn't find what we were looking for exactly we did find a fantastic Indian restaurant, a children's Neverland and the gorgeous European architecture Germany boasts of.
The Neverland park was fantastic. It had acres of structures and, unless you can't tell, it goes underground too! As a bonus, it has a children's farm on site complete with horses, rabbits and chickens that the kids can interact with. PLUS it's all free.
As the city site says, Dresden is a city of children. And Dresden is a city for children.
Jack had a wonderful time climbing, discovering and playing with us. Since we've become parents we've really gotten into checking out playgrounds. I even think Juan was a touch more excited about the playground than Jack!
I've been trying to encourage Jack to stay on his tummy while he goes down slides. I have several reasons, one being that he keeps trying to walk down them. This time he was determined to go sitting down. He did great.
Things didn't go as planned, but turned out great. Sometimes in life we just have to enjoy what we find instead of worrying about what we are looking for.
